The London Marathon

26.2 miles doesn’t mean a lot to most people but for the stupid ones that have run marathons it’s a number that will always be grained in your head.

Once you finished your first one for a week you’re adamant you’ll never put yourself through that again and then you see next years entry form and it all starts again.

All I know is the feeling of finishing running up towards Buckingham palace and turning the corner to be hit by the noise of the crowd as you cross the line takes a lot of beating. This was my 14th marathon and was easily my fastest yet with a time of 2 Hours 47 minutes I was well inside the 3 hour mark I was hoping for.

In some of my past marathons I’ve raised money for charities such as Devon Air Ambulance and Breaks 4 kids and have raised over £5000. My training for this event and the next began in January and I have been running on average 60 miles a week over 6 to 7 days. 2 down 1 to go.
